jewellery care

We make all of our pieces with care and skilfully to ensure that they will last a lifetime. This is one of the reasons why we work mainly with precious metals. All our materials are carefully selected.

There is a few things you should know to take care of your jewellery.

Metal:

Sterling silver tarnishes naturally over time. This process is accelerated if you leave your pieces exposed to the air for a long time when not wearing them. We recommend that you store your pieces in our packaging to protect them.

If the piece appears to have tarnished too much over time, you can clean it with a silver cleaner using a toothbrush and warm water. Dry it well with a soft cloth afterwards.

All pieces should always be stored in a clean and dry place.

Vitreous enamel:

Vitreous enamel is a thin layer of glass fused at high temperature on to the surface of metal. It is a solid material however it will most likely crack if you drop your enamelled jewellery on the floor or on a hard surface. It can also crack if you smash your piece onto a hard surface.

The enamel can also get scratched with really abrasive material.

Your enamelled jewellery can be worn everyday. We would only advice to remove your rings before any work or chores involving chemicals.

Cleaning your piece:

Dust and dirt will appear on your jewellery over time. It is completely normal. You can simply clean them at home using soap, a clean toothbrush and warm water. Dry the pieces afterwards with a soft cloth. Make sure that your pieces are completely dry before you store them away.
